This coffee comes to us from producer Ivan Junqueira Ribeiro, owner of Fazenda Cruzeiro, a farm in Brazil's Campo das Vertentes region. The farm, established in 1923, spans 1,021 hectares, of which 381 are planted with Red Catuai, Yellow Bourbon, Mundo Novo, Topázio, Arara, and Rubi. Cherries here are harvested ripe, using both mechanical and manual methods. After harvesting, cherries are moved to a cement patio for drying.
This coffee comes from Sancoffee, a certified B corporation. Sancoffee began in 2000 as a specialty coffee co-op.
Since its founding, Sancoffee has been the primary driver of quality in the Campo das Vertentes region.
