This coffee is sourced from the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU), which was started in 2001 to represent local coffee producers throughout the region. Today, SCFCU consists of more than 80,000 small-scale farmers, making it the second-largest cooperative union in Ethiopia. Coffees sourced through SCFCU are grown at high altitudes and tend to result in high bean densities.
